aul Rippel was born in Borger, Texas on November 23, 1952. He earned a B.S. degree in 1976 (University of Idaho), an M.S. degree in 1978 (New Mexico State University), and his Juris Doctor in 1981 (University of Idaho). He is a member of the Idaho State Bar and its Workers' Compensation Section (past board member). He is also a member of the bar in the U.S. District Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Court of Federal Claims. He is also a member of the Idaho Association of Defense Counsel and the Western Association of Workers' Compensation Boards. He has spoken at workers' compensation seminars and served on the Idaho Industrial Commission Rehabilitation Task Force and on the State Bar Examination Committee. He is a member of the State Bar Examination Reasonable Accommodation Committee and a volunteer for the YMCA. His law practice focuses on litigation including lawsuits and proceedings in numerous areas, such as workers' compensation, negligence, insurance, domestic relations, commercial law and criminal law. He also handles real estate and condominium matters, immigration, vaccine injuries and family-oriented estate planning.

Mr. Rippel and his wife, Alexis, have a son and a daughter. They enjoy outdoor activities and sports events together.
